In the space of four years, Kelly, owner of KC Virtual Solutions has gone from freelancing on small projects as a hobby to running a successful Virtual Assistant Business, supporting a range of successful business owners from both the UK and the US.
From the age of 11, Kelly knew she wanted to run her own business, but it wasn’t until 17 years later that this dream became a reality.
Kelly began mapping out her new career as a Virtual Assistant whilst on maternity leave with her youngest son, who’s now 4 years old, using an old Dell laptop from the dining room table “When I returned to work after having my first son, I found the stress of finding financially-viable childcare almost too much to bear. This time around, I decided that I wanted to really take control of my life and find something I could do at home, utilising all the talents I’ve developed over the years. Being a Virtual Assistant is perfect – in my time working for the NHS, various Housing Associations and a number of small businesses, I’ve honed my administrative skills to a high standard and now have the confidence to deliver high quality results to businesses of all sizes.”
Four years on, Kelly now supports a large range of clients in both the UK and the US, and has been shortlisted for a number of awards including being a finalist in the Mumpreneur Awards in 2010 and The Oustanding VA Awards in 2012.
Through her knowledge of Social Media and most significantly her use of Twitter, Kelly has built a well established and respected business and developed strong relationships with respected leaders in her industry and is a consultant in social media for a number of clients, providing support such as complete management of Twitter campaigns to extensive social media strategies.
Born in the South Wales Valleys, Kelly now lives in the North East of England with her husband and two boys, running her business from a fully functional office, no longer the dining room table.
